Mistaken; a poem

Updated: Jan 31, 2019

Hold your head up high

Put your shoulders back and

Be that which you cannot be

Be that which you are not

Let your inwards spill outward

But not too much

Nobody wants to see the inner workings

Of your soul

The weight

Of their soul

Keeps them grounded

Another soul and they would drown

Make the mistake to bust our your soul

Pass it around

Then you will have to take it back

Scuffed and injected with wine

Making it worn, heavy,

prone to making more mistakes
