A Glowing and Catchy Title

Updated: Dec 9, 2018

Los Angeles, CA; in the car on the way to botanical gardens

Hi, my name is Analise Nelson.

Purple Days is my site to share about myself and the things I'm working on. It is called Purple Days, because my hair is purple. I made the decision to dye my hair to outwardly say that I am growing, learning, and changing to be more like me every single day; I am myself and not anybody else. So, my days are purple and my days are changing, which I love about my life.

Every time I start a blog, I make one post and then I stop. It sounds like a great idea to start a blog, until I have to come up with post topics and then I have the honor of coming up with glowing and catchy titles and quality pictures and creative content, and suddenly I'm unsure if I'm fit to do any sort of writing at all and maybe, just maybe, I am completely unfit to do anything.

That's not true of course. I'm fit to make crinkle top cookies, which taste like Christmas. A recipe I've used most recently can be found here.

I'm fit to read books. I just finished reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.

I am almost done with The Lost World by Arther Conan Doyle (our famous Sherlock Holmes mystery writer), and I just started reading Planet Narnia by Michael Ward.

I would recommend all three, although don't read Rothfuss' book if you can't stand beautifully and carefully worded sentences that whisk you away into deep emotions and feelings. Don't read The Lost World if you can't stand adventure or science fiction. Don't read Planet Narnia if you've never read the Narnia series, you hate inventive worlds and symbolism, and you dislike C.S. Lewis even though you've never met him. I mean I've never met the devil, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like the devil very much, so I understand.

I am fit to listen to music. You can check out your 2018 Wrapped on Spotify.

My top songs are:
