Pisa

21,282 steps and we visited Pisa! In general I started to notice details on this trip that I hadn't been able to notice before. It's weird, because on first arriving in Italy, everything was so new that I couldn't really spend time looking at things and thinking about things. There was a lot of survival involved to make sure I could find the grocery store the market, my classes and so many other things are that essential to living and studying in a new place. On this trip I could finally take a breath and enjoy the different door handles, the colors of the buildings, and the cracks on the walls. I could take note of the shops and the people and spend time thinking about where I am and what it all means.

The leaning tower of Pisa was just as you would have expected it. It's a tower and it's leaning, but seeing it in person is pretty cool. We also went into the Baptistry and the Cathedral next to it which were stunning and strange and incredibly well-thought-out.

As you can see, I also had a cappuccino.

I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but I'm in Italy, so now I am.

I though this image was beautiful and I couldn't help gapping at it when we were crossing the bridge. Although it was rainy and cloudy, the gloom added depth and I love depth.

Thank you Pisa, I appreciate you so much more and I am grateful I had the chance to experience a piece of Pisa.
